There was one news item today that touched me deeply.
Torsten “Totta” Näslund, the singer, passed away at age 60. He was one of Sweden‘s best blues singers, both in English and Swedish. Probably best remembered for his group Totta’s Blues Band and his solo work in the last decade. He died from liver cancer, which is a rare disease. Only about 1% of all cancers are located to the liver. On the other hand cancer that start elsewhere often spread to the liver. That was the case with my father, who passed away 10 years ago at age 70. Anyway “Totta” Näslund was also born in the same part of the country as my parents, so that adds to my feeling of sorrow.
